When did you last...
Re: When did you last...
I'm currently re-reading the "Three Women" compilation as a relaxant last thing at night to get my brain away from exam prep. I use Elizabeth Moon's Paksenarrion series the same way, though I did write an essay on the Role of Religion in the Deed of Paksennarion which mean that I had to re-read it in a non-relaxing way.

Re: When did you last...
Perhaps we should christen the book club forum with a re-read of one the McCaffrey books?

Sounds good to me, Simon!

Re: When did you last...
Any preference. I'm thinking not dragon... Maybe tower and hive?
Re: When did you last...
I just finished Damia, Damias Children, Lyons Pride and the Tower and the Hive, back to back. I have a little too much time on my hands right now.

Aww, they're my favorite books, particularly Damia and Damia's Children. LP and TTATH are a bit more disjointed.

Re: When did you last...
I agree Granath, The first two seemed to be a lot more about character development, I especially liked seeing first Afra and then Damia developed in the first book. In the last two with the war against the beetles going on on so many fronts I didn't see that kind of character development and I missed it.

Re: When did you last...
Any reason you didn't start with Rowan?
When I do the Tower and Hive set I always start with the two Pegasus books then into Rowan and on from there...
Re: When did you last...
Because I read the Pegasus (PIF and PIS) and the Rowan frequently. I hadn't read the Damia books in about 2 years.
